Get yourself some quality armor and a sturdy horse. My strategy when I am solo is to buy a long axe, like a execution axe or heavy executioner axe(found rarely in aserai cities).

BUY THE SWORD FROM THE LOOTER HOW TO
I appreciate that Op is asking how to deal with looters, rather then calling for nerfs. I would love to see the kind of mayhem that leads to looter groups of 80 or more! Sounds like one hell of a party! ) in that case just retreat with tab and dont engage them, re-enter the hideout and see if you roll better troops next time.ĭamn man, I've never seen a looter or bandit group larger than 40~50. It usually fails if you RNG a bunch of stupid recruits. not uncommon to take a couple cracks at it, but the loot is worth it. if you never get hit, you might pull it off in one go. Your object is survival, so every hit you take is a huge loss when taking on 40+ enemies. if you only have two archers, just close the distance and let your men chop them while they try to hit your shield. get close to them and bait their shots, to allow your own archers to kill them. they will replenish ammo off bandit drops. use the shield with the most hp you can, and charge in shields raised. set them to shield wall (this raises their shields), face enemy, and follow you. If you have a lot of infantry with shields, you're in luck. go in thinking you're dead anyway, so take as many of them with you as possible. really hoping we get to take in more troops, or decide our raid squads before entering.įor forest bandit (aka the hardest) hideouts with thick numbers 40+, you want to deal as much damage as possible before your men die.

I'm not sure I've gotten down the technique of baiting them out and getting my best guys in despite putting them at top of party. but i kind of like to think of them as fruits. Notes: hideouts on your lands have a marked detrimental effect on prosperity. Think of it like litmus paper for detecting PH. if there's regular fighting, raiding and wars, large groups of looters will appear. Originally posted by Hammer of Evil:looters/raiders/banditry etc, are a reasonable yardstick for the prosperity of a region. a hideout with 60 bandits in there is ripened and ready to be harvested for good loot D also the prosperity is in the toilet, if you capture that area you will have to rework it till its prosperous again. armies of looters capture 100's of villagers and law has left these lands.

If you see groups of 80+ LOOTERS, you should run away because looters will loot you.

villagers are often captured, and sad village days soon. If you see groups of 15-25 LOOTERS the prosperity of the region has taken a big hit recently, and the lords men are patrolling less frequently. If you only see groups of 1-5 LOOTERS (god i love that name haha) then the region is fairly prosperous as the lords vassals regularly patrol the region and protect the villagers. Looters/raiders/banditry etc, are a reasonable yardstick for the prosperity of a region.
